Audra Rankin, M.Ed., LPC

Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist-Individual, Trained

My ideal client would be ready to incorporate new ideas to help themselves have a happier and more fulfilling life, better relationships, and incorporate their dreams and visions into their goals and lives.

I am a mental health professional specializing in setting boundaries, goals, and improving self-worth. I work with those struggling with anxiety, depression, and relational conflict. I work with teens, adults, families, couples, and individuals. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Constructed Awareness (CA).

I will provide a safe and empathetic environment allowing you to process past, present, and future concerns, as well as, learn new ways to deal with life's stressors and demands. I work with those struggling with PTSD and trauma, as well.

After graduating from Auburn University, I attended the University of Montevallo where I earned a Masters degree in Education in Counseling. I was a school counselor for many years in Birmingham before becoming a wife and mother.

I believe that there is hope and healing available and counseling is an amazing tool to facilitate growth and freedom. I am honored to walk with clients through grief, the relieving of suffering from depression and anxiety, and equipping clients with tools necessary for better relationships. I use humor, sincerity, and research based modalities to assist my clients in reaching their goals.

My family and I reside in Huntsville and enjoy swimming, playing outside, spending time with friends, traveling to new places, and adventures of all kinds.
